What is Mindfulness?

What is Mindfulness?

Mindfulness is an innate human ability to be fully present, completely aware of where we are, what we’re doing, and the space we’re moving through without being overly reactive or overwhelmed by our surroundings. So often our mind jumps from thought to thought, we lose touch with our body, and we become anxious. However, by utilizing mindfulness techniques during everyday activities we’re providing a place of reprieve where we can suspend judgment and shower ourselves in kindness and compassion. Better yet, when we’re mindful we reduce stress, enhance performance, gain insight and awareness through observing our own mind, and are more attentive to the well being of others.

So join our IET Summer Olympic Mindfulness Challenge to bring more mindfulness, calm, peace, performance and insight into your life.
